Lamphere High School students visited the DIA. They viewed abstract art and enjoyed many other works too! #wearelamphere @LamphereHS

Today we did a pumpkin experiment by guessing how many rubber bands would go around a pumpkin before it explodes. Then we completed a lesson on Dental Hygiene. #wearelamphere @lamphereHS

We visited the Madison Heights Fire Department today. Our students watched a truck tour, they dressed in gear and watched firefighter/paramedic Davis put on his gear and try to speak to them so in case of a fire they would know what to expect. @LamphereHS #wearelamphere

Fat Bear Week (where bears are tracked in Alaska and measured for their hibernation weight gain) culminated with making bear cookies and completing a salmon life cycle wheel. #wearelamphere @LamphereHS

We opened National Hispanic Heritage Month by taste testing treats from a local Hispanic store. Students sampled:
Jarritos pineapple soda
Paleta Playa
Gansito
Sabritone
We finished the day by making Churros and a model of a sombrero. @LamphereHS #wearelamphere

Mrs. Deneau’s class went to Meijer today on a Community Based Instruction trip. They purchased the items to make quesadillas tomorrow! #wearelamphere @LamphereHS

This week we worked on cleaning in life skills. Today, we made sugar cookies and completed an experiment about hot air… it made our plastic bags rise! #wearelamphere @LamphereHS

We had a wonderful day celebrating a birthday in our classroom and the 75th Anniversary of the US Air Force! We built parachutes and flew our paratroopers. #wearelamphere @LamphereHS

Our weekly visit to the PAES lab produced some hardworking kids measuring food weight, putting together widgets, recreating visual designs and a lesson with Allen wrenches. #wearelamphere @LamphereHS
