Today we have been learning about number bonds to ten using tens frames and counters. In PE we have been continuing our learning of basic ball skills. We were dribbling and steering the ball around including taking turns in teams. @MrsBagshaw
A great day in Reception, we played What’s the time Mr Wolf? as part of our maths. This morning our outdoor provision was wet, wet, wet! The children enjoyed splashing in puddles this afternoon. @MrsBagshaw
In RE with Reception today as part of our #specialstories we looked at different bibles. We then read David and Goliath and thought about when we have been brave like David was. We used some of our figures to act out the story too. @MrsBagshaw
Today we #spreadthehappiness with our younger children choosing trusted adults to gift with flowers. Lots of smiles all round, here are some of our lucky recipients.
@MrsBagshaw Today in Reception the children brought in things that are special to them as part of our RE topic Special stories. We found that lots of our special things were linked to memories of spending time with our loved ones. Next week we will learn about special books.
Some of our children have begun a #spreadthehappiness group. Today some of Year 5 and 6 chose an adult they would like to gift with flowers. Here are two of our lucky recipients! More happiness spreading will follow. Watch this space ❤️ @ShonetteBason@GarswoodPrimary
So proud of R, after learning about CAFOD at @StPaulCross67 he sorted his old toys for charity. We sold some of the more expensive ones privately and then took that money, some of his pocket money (£30 altogether) and the other toys to donate to @careUKcharity
Today lots of us felt quite boisterous so we channeled our energy into playing our instruments, making our own music, copying beats and singing along with nursery rhymes @mrsdodd9@garswoodprimary#nursery#musicexploration
Our enhanced provision now has the Three Bears house to retell our traditional tale. We have enjoyed exploring musical instruments and watching the older children during outdoor learning. @mrsdodd9@garswoodprimary
How’s your Monday?! Ours involved mini beasts! One child found a spider so @mrsdodd9 rescued it+we took turns holding+examining it. Then we found a fallen leaf with caterpillar eggs on, we examined which tree it had fallen from and tucked it safely up for hatching @garswoodprimary
Today one child wanted to make the house into a pirate ship, this led to what pirates do on ships so we made fish soup. This evolved into multiple #nursery and #reception contributing to a potion, mark making our recipe, turn taking and even ‘poisoning’ me! @mrsdodd9 @mrsbagshaw
