My classroom was actually noisy today with 4th graders completing a virtual, team building, brick building activity on Google Slides. I’ve missed the collaboration and communication between students 🥰
Happy 100th day of school! Kindergarteners were given 100 pieces to create anything they wanted. They built towers, rockets, and stick figures of their favorite activity! #stem#100thDayofSchool
Remote snow day + not sharing STEM materials = virtual STEM materials from @brookebrownTOTB ! My 1st graders have loved these activities and their tech skills amaze me every time!
2nd graders used Google Drawing to create a picture, inserted it into a Google Doc and then wrote a few sentences. I’m totally amazed at the tech skills these kids are gaining each day! 🌳 🏠
The Runaway Pumpkin with K Ss today ... totally different from last year 😕 but they loved building and testing their walls to stop the runaway pumpkin! 🎃 #lpslearns
1st graders blew me away today! I was a bit nervous to see how this would go but they did great! I can’t wait to share this lesson with my other firsties 🎃
K Ss did their first STEM challenge with Harry the Dirty Dog! They had to build something to contain their paper Harry and then draw a picture of their build. So proud of these little engineers!
K students engineered a bridge for 20 teddy bears! They could only use 4 paper cups, 4 popsicle sticks and they had to fit all 20 bears. Their teachers were so impressed!! #STEM#lpslearns
Ms. Potter’s 4th graders were city planners today as they designed a city to prevent and control flood waters 🏗🌊☔️ We also wrapped up Dr. Seuss week with some bookmark origami 📚
4th graders read Oh the Places You’ll Go then built a parachute! We just had to test our parachutes outside in the beautiful spring weather! #ReadAcrossAmerica#DrSeussDay#stem
