In reading & writing stations students have the opportunity to choose between several different activities in their assigned workstation. Writing, word work & ipads hard at work! We love choosing books to listen to on the Epic app.

We chose our own WaCkY CVC words (nonsense words) on this WaCkY WEdNesDaY in phonics. It is important for kids be able to blend sounds together to form words with and without the help of knowing the meaning of the word.

We used writerβs gum to learn how to stretch out hard words and hear all the sounds! We know that in the future we can use our imaginary gum when we are writing. Thanks @MissKMidgett for the gum and @LeachLiteracy for the idea!

We have been reading about kindness this week. We talked to our talking partner about a time we needed help and someone showed kindness to us! π

Practicing our reading strategies in guided reading. We use our βreading rocketsβ to point under the words as we read. We flip our yellow chip to red if we have tried to figure out a word but need a little help!

Our kiddos love coding with the π bot! They had to read the CVC word then code the π bot to get to the correct matching picture. @RobinsonPrimary#robinsonisd
I overheard a conversation today that reminded me why I love teaching. These two were playing a math game and the little friend with the pointer was showing her classmate how you can tell which number is bigger by using the number line! You go girl! @RobinsonPrimary#RobinsinISD
