Here I am with my girl Andromeda. According to Greek Mythology, The goddess Athena placed Andromeda, her husband Perseus, and her parents in the stars so the story of Perseus and his bravery saving Andromeda from a sea monster would always be remembered. @DorOKSG

It was too cloudy to see Andromeda, but cool to hold the constellation card up where she should be and backlight it with the iPad to shine through the punch holes. We found Canis to the south of us using Sirius as a ref point. @DorOKSG

Tonight I played around with Star Walk 2 again. I found out it plays music! I turned the speakers up and thought about how the music represents the dramatic dance the constellations perform every night as they “move” through the sky. @DorOKSG

I’ll let you in on a secret. I have a doctorate in education, but the field’s basically just a 100 years old. We don’t really know what we’re doing. Our scholarly understanding of how learning happens is like astronomy 2000 years ago.

Most classroom practice is astrology.
