@kerszi Thanks. After Friday Check-In, Ss participate in this activity. The shared slide has the prompt and mystery image. We discuss guesses and practice “accountable talk”. I give the answer at the end of the day. Ss love it! (Credit:The creator of the slides is from a Teacher FB gp.)
Learning about the Southern Colonies and using this helpful graphic organizer @studiesweekly as a springboard to writing Reader’s Theater scripts! Then Ss recorded a podcast using @Flipgrid “Mic only” option. (Slide credit:C. Millat/A. Swartz) https://t.co/iq5jAmxiYb
@tonyvincent@shapegrams Ha! Ha! Love it! Plus, my Ss get a lesson on puns when we discuss your jokes - always a learning opportunity! Many of them now choose to tell jokes on their "share" days.
I told my students about this post, and many of them used the Curve tool for the first time as well as other shapes, to invent a new holiday candy. We are learning a lot from @shapegrams!
@shapegrams Thank you! My students are having fun while learning so much tech from Shapegrams. They also got a kick out of the pizza jokes! @tonyvincent Keep 'em coming.
"Would you rather..." questions are a great opportunity to teach quick tech tips, like "drop shadow". (Thanks to the teacher who shared their "Would You Rather-Winter Edition" slide deck on Facebook. #ilove5thgrade
Ss participated in a mystery box challenge in order to understand how scientists and engineers develop models and use them as "thinking tools". @FOSSscience
