Our Number focus this week has been digit value and sequencing. 🔢We’ve been working with 3, 4 and even 5-digit numbers and then finding time to work with a partner using digital technology to further enhance our learning.💻📱⭐

This week we explored the clarifying strategy. 🔍 We explored tricky words from our class novel 'The Wild Robot' 🤖📖 and used our laptops and iPads to find the dictionary definition 📚. We worked with a partner to collaborate and clarify word meanings together. ✨

Yesterday we said goodbye to our two lovely boys as they head off to their new schools 💼 We’ll miss you lots 💙 but can’t wait to hear all about your new adventures, friends and fun! 🌟📚

We're so excited as this year's #SummerReadingChallenge will launch across #InverclydeLibraries on 21st June and will run until 23rd August!🌞📚🏅

This summer, we're tapping into a world of imagination through reading, exploring adventure, fantasy and the magical world of storytelling as we celebrate nature and the great outdoors with this year’s theme – #StoryGarden!

To celebrate the start of the Challenge, we would love you to join us for our launch event, with outdoor storytelling, crafts and a character scavenger hunt, as well as an opportunity for children to sign up to the challenge and borrow their first books.

It was a fun-filled day packed with energy, teamwork and lots of smiles. From exciting races to skillful games, everyone gave it their best and had a fantastic time! 💪🎽🏆

Last week we had a very special visitor from @ststephenshighschool Mrs Flynn.
Everyone enjoyed learning about push and pull forces, and we took it a step further by designing and creating our own toys to put our new knowledge into action!!🥼🎈💿🤩 @miss

We also ‘visited’ Spain!🇪🇸We enjoyed learning about Spanish tapas,🌮maracas,🪇 flamenco dancing,💃🏼siestas 💤 and playground games! 🎲Some pupils even challenged themselve to learn Spanish! @miss

Last week, we headed to Brazil to learn about play and culture🇧🇷We had some special visitors come to teach us a professional Samba dance! Primary 3 definitely have Samba talent💃🏼🕺👏🏻🎶 @miss

We also spent our afternoon ‘jetting off’ to Australia!✈️🇦🇺We learned about playground games played by children ‘down under’! 🦘🐨
