Teachers in the making! Indoor recess brings the novelty of getting to write on the teacher’s white board! When I was a kid, the big novelty was getting to hold my 2nd grade teacher’s Judy clock. 😂 🕰 Anybody remember those?? #AESthirdgrade#futureteachers
Today was the 7th annual sturgeon release at AES. Thank you to all involved at Lake Arrowhead for allowing our students to come learn about the sturgeon and have the opportunity to release another generation into our local rivers. It was a blast! #AESthirdgrade#tribeonthemove
A little formative assessment before getting ready to move on to the next standard. SS partner read a text about Benjamin Franklin and worked together to identify cause and effect relationships in the text. They posted their best findings on our reading board. #WeLovestickynotes
Our classes took a hike today on the nature trail on campus to collect rocks for their upcoming study. They learned tons from the very animated Mr. Shaw and had a great time in the classroom outside of the classroom. #AEStribe#3rdgradeexplorers
Our students have been learning how to be scientists with careful observations, labeling, and drawing accurately. Mrs. Lindner braved having 60+ crickets in her classroom today so students could have some fun, hands-on experience. Then they set them free! #lovescience#AEStribe
A teacher’s nightmare happened to me today. I had to miss the first day of school because I was sick. 😔 It broke my heart (I cried about it longer than I care to admit), but Armuchee is such a huge family my kids were still in great hands and had a wonderful day!! #ittakesatribe
I went by my classroom today to pick up a few things and although the room was weirdly empty and quiet I caught sight of this sign still hanging behind my desk. I’m hoping all of my sweet kiddos are having a fun summer break. They are still on my mind ❤️ #foreveratribe
I’ve been so blessed this year. My students work hard inside & outside of the classroom and it inspires me! I’ve watched them play baseball, basketball, football, be in beauty pageants, and dance recitals. I hope they know I will always be cheering for them, long after this year.
We had a read-a-thon this week that included themed reading challenges throughout the week. I think the students’ favorite part was getting to read outside. We may have to make this a regular thing. #TribeOnTheMove
We had FUN today!! What a way to celebrate a year of hard work and growth! Great job AES PTO and staff. We all LOVED the color run, kickball tournament, and Kona Ice. Parents...I’m sorry. They are a MESS! #TribeOnTheMove
