👏👏👏 I literally cannot agree with this point enough! I actually hate it when books are matched with topics. Kids will not learn to love books this way. Pick books you love & that are magical stories, not books that stretch to fit a theme & aren’t even that high quality.

Don't choose a class book just because it fits nicely alongside a current topic or unit of work. Choose a class book because it's a great book and will make the children laugh, cry, think and care.
