Is the Make 10 addition strategy the single most important arithmetic strategy? Kids HAVE to master it & learn to stop counting. Kaity's 1st graders made 10, 20, 30, 40, 80, 90, 100, 340, 500, and finally 1,000. Start with 10 frames, then number bonds, then formal equations!
