On this day in 1922, Lincoln Alexander was born.
He was the first Black Canadian elected to Parliament and the first Black Canadian federal cabinet minister. From 1985 to 1991, he was the Lt. Governor of Ontario and the Chancellor of the University of Guelph from 1991 to 2007.
