Happy half term!! This half term is probably the most needed ever. I always find the first half term is always a mission but having Ofsted thrown in there a few days ago as well…Wow! I definitely need a break 😴😴😴 #edutwitter#teachertwitter#teacherchat
Reflections on my first Ofsted experience:
⭐️no where near as bad as I expected
⭐️the inspectors made us feel so at ease & were v positive.
⭐️they were amazing with the children, so friendly and smiley.
A positive but tiring experience overall. #edutwitter#teachertwitter
This book💙 If anyone is looking for a book to subtlety touch on the economic crisis with younger children then this is it. The illustrations are absolutely stunning as well. My class had some great discussions after reading this. Highly recommend 👍🏻 #teachertwitter#edutwitter
@just_teachuk @debrakidd She really was! I had double dose of her too as we had a whole trust talk with her and then I did her workshop. Such an inspiration and I am so desperate to implement her ideas into my classroom. I’m literally sat reading her book as we speak 😍xx
Lots to reflection this evening after an incredible workshop led by @debrakidd 🤩. This was definitely my stand out moment of the day, where she talked about the importance of the children’s emotional involvement and the need for them to be invested. #edutwitter#teachertwitter
@waywarddeputy It was absolutely brilliant. We had a couple of guest speakers and then we had 9 different workshops which were run by colleagues throughout the MAT. We got to choose two out of the 9 that we wanted to go to. A really inspirational day. 🤩
The best CPD day today 👏🏻 Our MAT ‘Festival of curiosity.’ After a tough few weeks, this is exactly what I needed, to really remind myself why I do what I do. #edutwitter#teachertwitter
Absolutely love this! I will be introducing in my classroom tomorrow. Not just with daily sounds but also to help with common exception words too. #edutwitter#teachertalk#ks1
After we learn a new sound it becomes the “secret password” for entering the classroom, allowing for several extra daily repetitions. The kids ❤️ it - and don’t worry about the ones who forget; if they don’t copy the child in front of them I supply the sound for them to repeat.
@Ms_Wilsonsays I live within a couple of minutes drive from my childrens school and the school I work at. It’s so handy to live so close and I have never had any problems at all with bumping into children/families.
@Mr_AmosECT Definitely type LO on to stickers and then when collecting books in keep them in table groups by stacking each tables books the opposite way. They are so much quicker to hand out that way.
@conselleira Awww wow! Can’t believe we have children born on the exact same day! 💙💙 double figures is enough for me to cope with for now! Hope your son had a fantastic day x
A well needed work free evening for me tonight, celebrating my eldest son’s 10th birthday. I honestly cannot get my head around the fact that he is 1️⃣0️⃣! 💙 Why do they grow up so quickly?
