we had a Super Bowl celebration today! We read about the history of the super bowl and created a timeline, we did a STEM project to create a paper football and goal post, we solved football themed word problems in math and of course we ate LOTS of snacks! ππ
Happy Thanksgiving all! Had a wonderful time recording our newest episode with this rockstar 3rd grade teacher @MrsGibson112@Coventry_Comets@CESComets

@Macys Watching the parade was the most popular answer when I asked them what their favorite tradition was! Thanks for providing so many memories and connections π«Άπ»
We finished up our Human Body @Amplify unit, so to celebrate we transformed our room into a hospital! Parents in the medical field came in to teach us proper handwashing and taking a patients BP! We searched for bones, created lungs and operated!

After reading about Election Day, we completed our voters registration and headed to our polling locations! We had 4 VERY important issues on the ballot, our favorite food, our favorite season, our favorite sport AND a class reward!
Election Day tomorrow - obviously a lot of big things on the ballot, but donβt ignore the small things. Local issues are critical. Reminder about Coventryβs Renewal on the ballot, issue #34 NOTHING new. Please let us continue doing the work to help our students. #CometStrong
In our @Amplify Animal Classification unit weβve been reading about birds and how to classify them! Weβve had a lot of hands on learning opportunities like testing out the strength of their hollow bones (like straws), comparing our wingspan to eagles and testing bird beaks! π¦ π¦
Thanks to @SummitCountyESC and @brianhousand for an incredible day of learning and growth today. Lots of amazing and useful info was shared on nurturing our minds through creativity and AI! @Coventry_Comets definitely got better today!
Great morning for our K-5 reading teachers to get some insight on how to better integrate Tier 2/3 interventions into our MTSS using our mClass via Amplify. Huge shout out to @alyssa__bird for helping us break that down. @SummitCountyESC
No hands was a bit of a challenge, but all groups succeeded! Fred went white water rafting in Colorado, so we spent some time learning about the area and about rafting! Tomorrow he heads to Arizona! Stay tuned to see what his misadventures entail!
Our STEM project follows a worm (a gummy one)named Fred that has a few misadventures! Today Fred tried white water rafting! His life jacket (a peach ring) fell off and got stuck under his capsized boat (a cup). Students had to get the lifejacket on BUT can only use a paperclip!
