@big_e_carlson @SLCSD If the renewal isn’t approved, the district will lose approximately 15 million in funding. The will have a significant impact on staffing which directly impacts classroom instruction. Go to the SLCS website and read the FAQ document.

@big_e_carlson @SLCSD The district’s operating revenue is based on the per pupil funding and is not impacted by home property values.  The non-homestead operating millage makes up a significant portion of the per pupil allowance.

@big_e_carlson @SLCSD The district’s per pupil foundation allowance is $9,608 as determined by the State. The district actually received less revenue than anticipated this year due to a slight decrease in enrollment.  Bond funds can’t be used for operating expenses.

We had a great day at The Petting Farm at Domino’s Farms! Students connected what they learned about the parts of animals and what they need to live in science to the animals we saw.
