P5/6 had an amazing time on our sponsored bounce on Friday and being the joint winners of the ‘tidiest class’ in the school 🤷🏼‍♀️ we had an extra bounce! 🏰@CarnwathPrimary

One of our children took her beans home that we were growing in class and planted them with her gran and they have literally grown a magic beanstalk 🙌🏽🙌🏽 love this! They have got their own green beans now. @CarnwathPrimary #itsslc

We are now putting the mulch, that BHC kindly donated, around the trees to protect them from the grass and weeds. @CarnwathPrimary #itsslc

P5/6 have gained so much knowledge about nature, trees and looking after our natural environment. They have also developed an abundance of life skills (too much to mention) whilst working towards our John Muir award and being outdoors almost daily. @CarnwathPrimary #itsslc

P5/6 have been very successful in requesting donations from local businesses to help towards developing our school grounds. They have written (persuasive) emails to various local companies. Photos/posts of those kind donations will follow 🙏🏽 Thank you! @CarnwathPrimary #itsslc

P5/6 have been creating their own video presentations on ICT (their own choice of programme) on why trees and nature are so special to them and why we should speak up for them. @CarnwathPrimary #itsslc

Following their learning on how to look after trees with the Tree Council, they dug around the trees making sure grass was not touching the trunk and roots and will fill this with bark and cover the trunk with a plastic bottle. Amazing job! @CarnwathPrimary #itsslc

Our school giant-sized sundial is coming on a treat. It works perfectly too - we are fascinated! All we need now is bark, stones and more wildflower and herb seeds to finish it off. 🙏🏽🫶 @CarnwathPrimary #itsslc
