Enjoying another great day of learning and growth at NWEA Certified Facilitator Training. I always gain so much from conversations with other educators.
My reflection over the last couple of weeks is summed up in the words of Isabel Wilkerson: “Ignorance is no protection from the consequences of inaction.”
One of our new teacher comments from our feedback survey was too good not to run with. Love my new role and just so excited to see the adventures ahead :) #reenergize
I just spent the last 3 days with 44 new teachers to FPS learning and growing together. It was an amazing experience and I cannot wait to see how they impact their students and education at FPS! I LOVE my new role :)
A snow day means many of us get to celebrate #ILovePublicSchoolsDay from home. ❄️ How about a round of applause for all the public school custodial teams that makes sure the snow will be shoveled & buildings will be warm when everyone returns tomorrow!
Dear Teacher,
Your kids missed you. Not your classroom. Not your content. They missed you.
You did that.
No easy thing to be what kids need. But it’s less-hard when all they need is you (to be you).
Let that be the lift you need tomorrow.
Sincerely,
Not-So-Secret Admirer
Just because some teachers would rather stay in the classroom than go into administration doesn’t mean they aren’t leaders. Many have amazing talents which can benefit a school.Good leaders value them as experts and help maximize their talents and potential.
