@apron_education This week my Third Graders did the Pumpkin Production Line task. They were so engaged and loved their supervisor getting calls for changes lol. ๐ Used YouTube as a ringer sound hahah. Thank you!
@mradamwelcome I would love a copy to read and help inspire our girls! I teach in such a diverse school with dynamic personalities and I feel our girls could benefit from this! #EmpowerOurGirls#Third Grade
Today, after my students finished a quiz I showed them a photo of me holding Rosie, the tarantula! It came up in conversation somehow. They asked me questions and were so engaged in it. It was back in college so I look different as the students pointed out. #KidsDeserveIt
Reading my students creative writing and Iโm loving it! While some of them struggled, they came up with some good stories. #SGESdoves#Fallprompt#Scarecrows
Mini win today! A student said I thought it was gonna be a bad day, but itโs turned out to be good one. Heโs struggled with behavior and has been working on doing better. Love the progress!
@jerhende Interesting Idea! Iโll have to try it out. They often know the procedures and expectations more so then a guest teacher can understand from a paper.
What if we assessed our students with meaningful and diverse texts instead of black and white passages? They are engaged with mentor picture books in the classroom. Why do we assess in such a bland way? #ThoughtForTheDay
Today, two students got a perfect score on their vocab quiz! These students have struggled as readers, but studied every night to improve. Their faces lit up like they won that lottery! Hahah #Awesome#ThirdGrade
@alicekeeler Wow I canโt believe that! Iโve actually got some of my kids doing novel studies and thatโs challenging them more than the passage would have and way more engaged!
@Caitlin_Monroe@wcpsselemela Any tips on how to gamify reading for third grade? Itโs such a heavily tested grade level that Iโm looking for more ways to keep kids especially my reluctant and struggling readers engaged. Saw you speak at NCTies!
