The Amazing Race! Students used inquiry tools to help them finish their race. They were given task cards to complete with the help of their teammates and their trusty dictionaries, thesauruses, atlas’ and encyclopedias. @LeaphartElem #thisisleaphart

Green STEAM Day was a success at @LeaphartElem we had a blast creating, designing, and planting. Students were able to help put a piece on a statue in front of the school, they created earth day paintings and more! They loved the activities today. #pridein5

Snakes are his thing! This student amazes me with stop and jot notes. This day he decided he wanted to create a snake quiz to test the class! He is so engaged during independent reading time! #pridein5 @LeaphartElem

Students used Jot Thoughts to name all the nouns they could think of! Once they named several nouns, they decided how they could organize them into groups! Students then worked as a team to sort the nouns into person, place, and thing groups! @LeaphartElem #pridein5

Mother’s Day gifts ☺️students wrote notes on shrinky dink paper and watched them transform! Mommas will now have a keychain with a heartfelt note!

My students accepted the challenge. Who can design the tallest tree that can stand on its own? BUT you can only use 1 sheet of green paper, a cup, and a foot strand of tape. They rocked this challenge! #steam ⁦@LeaphartElem⁩
