On our last day together before winter break we took a trip on the Polar Express! We listened to the story, retold it, and drank hot chocolate. So thankful for this sweet group of kids! ❤️

This week we read “‘Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving” and brainstormed some other delicious foods you can eat this year instead of turkey. 😉🦃

We had such a fun Friday! We read and retold “Room on the Broom” then read an early reader version and found sight words. After that we watched the animated show while we did a color by number. To end our day we had a Halloween snack! #HappyHalloween

Today we opened up a pumpkin and checked out its insides! We used our 5 senses to determine that the inside is a mixture of solids and liquids. Afterwards we did a craft showing the parts of a pumpkin! 🎃

We kicked off pumpkin week by reading “Five Little Pumpkins.” We highlighted sight words in the poem then made our own pumpkins on a gate! In math we made a pumpkin number line. So many more fun pumpkin activities coming up this week! 🎃

Yesterday we had a visit from the always wonderful Ms. C. We got to listen to a story and check out books from her cool traveling book cart. Thanks for working so hard to keep library fun! @sylvanparklib

This week we’re working on numbers to 12. We read a spooky fall book and counted smashed the matching numbers of playdoh balls as we read!

We had a popsicle party to celebrate our last class of 1st quarter. We’ve worked so hard and I’m so proud of all these sweet friends!

There is a need in our community for additional food support. Bins will be placed in front of the school this week during school hours. If you are able to help, please drop off donations during school hours and staff will organize donations to be sent to those in need.
