@acutofhoney Thank you @acutofhoney! Sorry I missed seeing BB. I will definitely miss Scott. It is a fantastic school! Wish him the best of luck in 5th grade! I know he is going to thrive! Feel free to keep in touch. I'd love to hear about his successes.
As you finish out your 4th grade year, I hope you each know how much I've enjoyed teaching you this year. Have an amazing last few days! You're almost 5th graders! #210isthebestroom#4thgraderocks
@laurenTarshis To the lack of theatrics within the classroom. Students will focus more and benefit from hands on activities, movement and real life application. As teachers, we must make it fun or, of course, they won't focus. Can we really blame them?
@laurenTarshis I feel the problem is the lack of instant gratification within the real world. Within video games students immediately are rewarded for their actions. On the flip, they also have multiple chances to start over, no "real" consequences. Lack of focus is linked.
With addtl heavy rain expected this p.m. and no place for extra water to go, we are changing afternoon operations before road conditions potentially become worse.
To provide time for safe delivery of students and safe dismissal of staff, CCPS will dismiss 2 hours early today.
This means buses will arrive at bus stops about two hours earlier than normal today. Please make arrangements to have your child picked at the bus stop early.
All after-school activities scheduled to be hosted at a county school on Friday afternoon/evening are canceled. (The Clover Hill prom at John Marshall is on as scheduled, pending changing conditions. Parents are encouraged to make decisions in their family's best interest.)
