Chesak Cheetahs were solving problems in Explore using the Engineering Design Process! Kinder scientists built casts for a broken wrist. 1st grade investigators communicated over a distance using light and sound. 2nd grade engineers designed insulators to keep an ice pop cold.

After listening to the story Bone Soup, Chesak 2nd graders were asked, “Can you build a device to balance a witch’s cauldron?” They used the 4 C’s of Engineering to solve this problem and design some cool cauldron contraptions! @ChesakCheetahs @d158 #huntley158explore

Chesak 1st graders did a Storybook Stem activity with the book Runaway Pumpkin. They were challenged to build a device to stop a rolling pumpkin:) The challenge was accepted and the problem was solved using the 4 C’s of Engineering! @ChesakCheetahs @d158 #huntley158explore

Chesak kindergarteners used the Five Little Pumpkin song to inspire them to build a gate that pumpkins could not roll off of:) They had to use critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity to solve this problem. Check out their gate designs! @ChesakCheetahs @d158
