@colin_fine @appertunity @StuartMaconie My dad tells me it was paid for by Bradford Trades Council and the Bradford Festival - The Mural itself says it is painted by Tom Cousins and Sponsored by Bradford Festival Limited

@colin_fine @appertunity @StuartMaconie Apparently the image from the mural is a copy of an image that was used on a banner used by the Independant Labour Party in Bradford when it was originally formed in 1893 in the Peckover Gentlemans club.

@StuartMaconie Not JB (sorry!)but Cottingley, home of the Cottingley Fairies, is part of Bradford (near Saltaire) You can still get Arthur Conan Doyles book "the coming of the fairies" its a nice little read and tells the whole story from the time.
