Went solo to see The Ocean at the End of the Lane last night. Thought it was a musical. I mean it was sensationally good, but there certainly weren’t any jazz hands!
Years worth of old teaching resources finally being recycled. These are 20 years old and I haven’t looked at most of them for the last 15 years. Why then is it so hard to bin them?!
Went to see this last night; just extraordinary. The most talented young performers and musicians absolutely smashing it. If you’re anywhere near Leicester do try and see it (and if you’re not, there are two matinees and a train station nearby)!

@ShaunTossell Standing at the Sky’s Edge. Not far from me when it was in Sheffield but couldn’t make the dates work and the trip to London is just prohibitively expensive.
@IngoodcoEM @producersully@edfringe Don’t know about the fringe but before you go check out the world premiere of #ArmchairMusical from @NYMTuk at @CurveLeicester from 16-19 August. A few midlands performers in the cast and it deserves to go further!
@Philippa_Perry @SwdtJulia A stock phrase in our house is ‘Good boy Mummy!’ from when my 2 or 3 year-old son (now 19) said it, honestly and purposefully, to me. It is important. We all need validation. My husband and 3 sons all use this phrase now!
@TeachingChap Absolutely - it’s a game changer if using the scheme faithfully. We put treasury tags through each booklet so we can attach extra sheets as and when necessary.
Musical: Assassins at @DuchessTheatre - Amateur theatre at its best
Play: @ALittleLifePlay Phenomenal
Performance: The Boy Who Sailed the Ocean in an Armchair #Beam2023#armchairmusical Just brilliant

@theatreandtonic 1. A Little Life
2. Assassins
3. Curtains
2 and 3 were amateur performances but better than many professional ones I’ve seen, and James Norton was phenomenal in @ALittleLifePlay. It was a tough watch but absolutely sensational.
@theatreandtonic Out of the question, even when I lived in London. My local theatre @RegandVic gets national touring shows and always offers tickets starting at £13. Why does London need to be SO expensive?!
Utterly drained after watching @ALittleLifePlay. My favourite book of all time and the stage version didn’t let it down; 3 hours and 40 minutes of harrowing despair and unconditional love. So much respect for all involved in bringing it to life - sensational.
