Class 1 are doing a great job of caring for their bean plants. 🌱 We need to water them every day. 💦 They are starting to sprout up. We also planted a special beanstalk for Jack. We used a clear cup so we can watch the roots grow. @drumparkprimary

Class 1 have got to the part of the story where Jack reaches the top of the beanstalk. 🌱 What did he find? A castle amongst the clouds. We had sensory fun building our own castle in the clouds for the giant. 🏰 ☁️ @drumparkprimary

Today Class 1 had fun beginning our class name book. We are exploring the sounds that our names begin with. We looked at lots of different things that begin with Aa. 2 special boys got to stick their pictures in our name book as their names begin with this sound. @drumparkprimary

Tomorrow is another busy day for Class 1. 👍🏻 We are visiting the park tomorrow morning (please wear school uniform) and then have swimming in the afternoon. Fun times. 😀 @drumparkprimary

Class 1 are enjoying our new IDL Jack and the Beanstalk so much that we decided to grow our own magic beans. We had fun planting them. We will need to make sure that they get enough water and sunlight to grow like Jacks. 💦 ☀️ 🌱 @drumparkprimary

Yesterday Class 1 had a fantastic time helping this Handsome Dude celebrate his 6th birthday. We hope he had a fantastic day. 🥳🎂💙🎈🎁🎉@drumparkprimary

Class 1 have begun their new IDL Jack & the Beanstalk. Yesterday we read the part of the story where Jack sells his cow for 5 magic beans. We made special magic beans cakes. We had to great counting to make sure each cake had 5 magic beans. @drumparkprimary

On Thursday Class 1 were busy being eco warriors. We picked up all of the litter in our play area. Great job Class 1. 👍🏻 I am sure Miss Charlton will be very pleased. @drumparkprimary @MissCharltonDPS

On Wednesday Class 1 went on a visit to Coatbridge Library. 📚 We had great fun listening to stories and playing parachute games. Thank you to Lauren the librarian-we can’t wait to come back for another visit. 😀@drumparkprimary
