@xkcd (PS, I am a HS English teacher and use samples of your work in the classroom. Pun, irony, inferencing, visual communication... You have tremendous range!
@xkcd I know this is a long shot, and you may not even check this, but my son is your biggest fan. You inspired him to draw comics (he is on the spectrum and this was a huge win). He read What If so many times it fell apart, so we ordered another copy...
@xkcd We have What If 2 (plus your other books), but do you by chance sell signed copies? He turns 14 this month and I honestly can't think of anything he would love more!
@MrTomRad is a must-follow for now-and-future teachers. His book, posts, and articles acknowledge how hard teaching is, but in a hopeful rather than cynical way. He’s equal parts brutally honest and sincerely inspiring. And funny. Always funny. #edvapln
To engage secondary ELA students in global citizenship, stock your classroom library with books about (and from) a diversity of nations and perspectives. For whole-class works, reflect upon them intentionally through this lens. #EdVaGlobal
