I’m so proud of my Westgate strings students for performing at Solo and Ensemble Festival tonight! They all got the top score (Superior)! One of my 4th graders even performed a solo and a duet with a friend and got a Superior on both! Well done, everyone! ❤️🎻

6th graders had the awesome opportunity to attend the Snow Show at Kilmer MS on Friday night! They rehearsed and performed with a huge orchestra of 6th graders in our pyramid and the top orchestras at Kilmer MS and Marshall HS! Thank you, Liz Fogel! @WestgateElem @kilmercougars

My 6th graders learned a Halloween song in only a few weeks called “Stirring the Brew.” The last note is “Boo.” 👻

My 5th graders were very happy today to be able to play their D scale in a round for the first time! Last year when they were beginners, we all played the same thing - now we are working on two parts happening at the same time. I’m so proud of them for playing together!
