With making the big jump from 1st grade to 4th grade this coming year, I am trying to update my classroom library! I created a wish list in case anyone feels inclined to help me build up my classroom library. I would be so appreciative!! @heidinelt

The fun never stops at Moyer! Courageous surgeons performing surgery on words to create contractions and using their tools (bandaids) to close up the wounds. A great, fun way to close out the school year! @MrsHurttMoyer#CourageousLeader
@CourtneyFranz11@FTMoyerES Parker loved this! He rarely talks about what he does at school, but he voluntarily told me all about this assignment on the way to the car after school!!
@CampdetzMrs @FTSchools@FTMoyerES@heidinelt Becky-I was so scared of coding a year ago! The students helped me through, haha. They know so much!!! Let’s get together over the summer-I’ll give you a quick lesson (it’s super easy to catch on to).
To prepare for the use of Dash during our upcoming light and sound unit, I challenged my first graders to build a maze with items in the classroom and code Dash to make her way through it. #curiouscriticalthinkers@FTSchools@FTMoyerES
Love that you’re starting with a question and letting them engage in Discovery! I bet they were so excited! #CuriousCriticalThinker 👩🎓👨🎓🔦💡@FTISSuper @JameeFlaherty @BBradfordFTIS
The @FTMoyerES first graders in @MrsHurttMoyer’s class read @joshfunkbooks How to Code a Sandcastle yesterday and wrote their very first program today - and modified it to include a LOOP! So awesome!
These firsties AMAZED me today! First time coding a robot and they knocked it out of the park! They even learned that squares have 90 degree angles! I can’t wait to use these for our upcoming light and sound lesson!! Thank you @heidinelt for your help today. @FTMoyerES
Cave paintings are so much fun to learn about and even more fun to create! Thank you to Nicolette Meade for volunteering her time to teach an awesome lesson to my firsties!
100, 100, 100 days of school so far! (In my GoNoodle singing voice 🎤)
Friday is our official 100th day of 1st grade, but with so many fun activities it takes more than one day to celebrate!! @McDowell_Moyer#creativity#collaboration
When it’s snowy out and you’re teaching your firsties about cause and effect-you read “The Snowy Day”, make a craft of Peter, sort the causes and effects, and take the AR test! #readingissnowmuchfun
