Our last Eco club of the school year. We finished making decorations for our sensory garden using recycled CD’s then hung out bird feeders in our school grounds. We shall keep an eye out to see which birds are enjoying them!

We all had a fantastic day yesterday on our school trip. The weather was glorious and everyone had lots of fun!

We had a fantastic time today at Caerphilly Mountain View Ranch. So much to do and lovely weather! The children and adults had a great time! ☀️ 🔥 🐉 🐐

Eco club members made bird feeders today, they are now in the ‘fridge setting before we hang them around our school grounds.

Eco club members began improving our sensory garden by painting our totem poles and turning cable reeds into ladybirds. We will continue and hopefully finish next week!

Class 5 mastered tying Reef Knots today and made picture frames and garden decorations from natural materials @llfiaclass5

Class 4 practiced their reef knots today then used their estimating skills to select sticks of a similar length. They used the reef knots to make some more great picture frames.

Class 1 used their sense of smell to select natural ingredients to make their own perfume today. They added water and let it steep for a while before putting it into bottles and making labels. @llfiaclass1

Class 3 tried hard to tie reef knots today. They used these knots to make some great natural picture frames. @Llfiaclass3

Eco Club members used their IT skills to record evidence on a nature scavenger hunt. We struggled to capture photographs of ants and butterflies as they were too fast!

Class 2 practiced tying reef knots today then collected sticks and made picture frames. They used their new skills to secure their frames.

Class 4 developed their teamwork skills today by building today. They displayed some great cooperation and leadership skills @llfiaclass4

Class 1 planted flowers today to decorate the path to the nursery. They chose to plant their flowers in plant pots and wellies @llfiaclass1

Eco club members made treats for the birds and hung them on the trees in our grounds and also turned an old milk bottle into a bird feeder!

Class 5 completed 2 challenges today- to make a shelter to fit everyone under and to form a ball of gloop. Both challenges were completed successfully Great work @llfiaclass5 !
