Did you see Lele on BBC News last night?

2 years ago this girl approached me to say she wanted to represent Great Britain at the Olympics. Only problem was, she had to self-fund as she refused to comply with Team GB’s beaurocracy and training methods.

Lele was fanatical, she lived and breathed Judo. She believed in herself and sacrificed everything else for one single mission - to compete at the Olympics.

How could we not sponsor Lele?! But more than this, she has become part of The Ascot Group extended family and my team have worked with her closely over the last two years.

10 years of vision, belief and commitment has paid off. 26 year old Lele, from Weston-Super-Mare, is representing Team GB at the Paris Olympics.

Our office is being converted into a big cinema on 29th July as 100 Ascot employees cheer her on.

Lele Nairne is an inspiration. A maverick, crazy girl who could teach 99% of business leaders what it takes to focus and win.

Business Leaders - every small town has a potential world class boy or girl who just needs someone to believe in them, back them and mentor/support them. Go find them.

School- term Holidays!!

Just give all parents/carers the right to take one week, just one week, at any time of the year except exam time - let the school decide on that - and much of the problem would disappear overnight.

The kids would not suffer one jot.
