raising 3 babies all under 5, working 3 pt. jobs, went to Jr College got 4.0 and was up for scholarship. Lost it to someone who had a 3.8. Me as a poor white woman couldn't do nothing more. I was at top of the class. The other scholarships where for minorities. I had one shot and lost it due to being white. They should have said NO whites allowed ANY scholarships. She was my friend and we studied together, we both cried for me. She was going to college, no mater what. Me I went to work for 9.00 an hour. We need to be fair to ALL.
