Social media has made people feel like they need self-branding. Or that you NEED to sit on panels, do interviews, grow your social presence. And about 95% of the successful people I know in the industry do none of that. They’re just people who are good at their jobs.
Black people can’t even sleep in bed safely at night without getting shot and killed by police. But when white nationalists attempt a coup, suddenly cops can’t even find their handcuffs.
While today’s terrible display of terror and meanness shakes us, let’s remember: @ossoff, Jewish son of an immigrant & @ReverendWarnock, first Black Senator from Georgia, will join a Catholic POTUS & the first woman, Black + Indian VP in our nation’s capital. God bless America.
