@united We have been stranded in Maui since last night. Other airlines have given out food vouchers, blankets, & pillows. We’ve gotten nothing! We understand the weather isn’t in your control, but how to take care of us while we wait is. We’re now 12 hours into our wait!
We truly enjoyed the @QuestTheatre performance of We are All Treaty People and taking part in a Round Dance. We learned to celebrate what makes each other special and to be proud of where we come from. #rvsed#rvata
My next read! Thank you much @JodyCarrington for making me feel like a hero today! What I do matters. Today, you made me laugh, made me cry, but most importantly, made me realize the importance of relationships above all else. #KidsTheseDays#pdtc2019@ralph_mccall@rvata35
Thinking about #makinglearningvisible. How do you teach your Ss how to choose work to share and reflect on? How do you teach them to reflect (and share that reflection) so that it is an ongoing process that they can do independently? #grade1#RVSed
No school today because of this crazy cold weather. What a great opportunity to fill your reading log for our read-a-thon @ralph_mccall ! Find a cozy spot and crack a book on this chilly day.
Due to severe weather, RVS announces closures for the following areas: Airdrie, Beiseker/Kathyrn, Crossfield, Cochrane/Bearspaw/Westbrook, Langdon/Indus, and Springbank/Bragg Creek. Schools open in the City of Chestermere, including Prince of Peace. https://t.co/1cY17wQXJR #rvsed
Dress like a word day was a hit yesterday! I went as the word “singed.” We also had “pterodactyl,” “fearless” and “Oreo.” @ralph_mccall#schoolspirit#LiteracyDay
I need your help! What are your favourite #readaloud novels for the younger grades? We read Megabat by @Anna_Humphrey and LOVED it. We also read some of the Magic Tree House series. What are your favourites?
Yesterday, we used our five senses to describe our apples before using this fancy peeler/cutter to prep them for our applesauce. Today we will taste and describe the final product! @ralph_mccall#grade1@rvsed
”Maybe it’s Mrs. Meller’s brother all curled up.” Oh the anticipation in 1M this afternoon. Although, I’m not quite sure what my students think of me after that comment. #grade1#fromthemouthsofbabes@ralph_mccall
