My top tip for ECTs? Spend less time making your room look nice & sparkly & more time planning & resourcing the first half term. When the intensity of the first few wks of September hits, it’s far more useful to have resources ready on the shelf than laminated display titles 😌

This school year so far I’ve worked less hours, achieved more than ever, made mistakes and learned from them and am feeling confident about my work life balance.
The world hasn’t ended because my wall displays aren’t complete yet. 💥

This year I had my LTP, MTP and all the necessary notes to start planning ahead.

@Katy_primary97 The disadvantage of a September baby is additional childcare and nursery costs, as they will have an extra year before starting school!

@MrsHewsonMFL I love how the child heard me read the T shirt in French then almost sounded it out to spell it themselves beian. It shows they understand the pronunciation even if the spelling is wrong ☺️

My watch just told me I should go for a brisk 26 minute walk to close my exercise ring for the day.

My amazing TA bought me this book and had the class sign it. (Our class was named one of the animals from the book!)
Hands down THE most thoughtful end of year gift that I will treasure.
