I suggest a NATIONAL STRIKE from all levels of education until federal laws occur. Not fighting back for the next victim of gun violence makes us part of the problem. #enoughisnow@AMarch4OurLives@Team_Enough Please SHARE!
Every year when I practice hiding in a dark corner of my classroom with my students, I am brought back to this day. Hard to believe it’s been 15 years - same tears, same fears. #forwardtogetherforward#NIU#healthed
Fifteen years ago Tuesday, a former Northern Illinois University student burst in through a door at Cole Hall and behind the lecture stage and opened fire with a shotgun and semi-automatic pistols, killing five and injuring 21.

@CoachMatheson At the end of the unit student role play healthy breakups using "I" statements. My shtick is to play sad piano music once they start their act- works every time! I use Miguel and Sam Breakup Scene [2K] | Cobra Kai Season 5 https://t.co/2TeQrIq0mo via @YouTube#healthed#hpe
Hey Twitter-verse! Today I’m raising money for Kesem at Indiana University! We are a national nonprofit that provides year-round support and 2 free weeks of summer camp for kids whose parents have cancer. Please consider donating :)

✅ Most parents support sex ed in middle + high school
✅ Parental fears around comprehensive sex ed are driven by the misbelief that it's solely about sex
✅ Comprehensive sex ed helps reduce violence, promote healthy relationships + prevent abuse https://t.co/Zs6cPhd2KH
Studies show that robust, medically-accurate sex ed lowers teen pregnancy. Fewer unintended pregnancies could mean fewer abortions.
So why, when stated goal is to lower abortions, is sex ed not part of the discussion?
