@GovMurphy creates a task force to address teacher shortage… and includes NO TEACHERS on the task force! Prime example for why there’s a shortage - no one actually cares about the teachers! Bc if they did their thoughts, ideas, and feelings would valued the MOST. Disappointing.

Every year, we start by reading the picture book “One Word for Kids” by @JonGordon11. Our #OneWord Project went digital this year with Canva edits and @MicrosoftFlip QR code videos! They kids are so motivated to live their chosen word + to share with others why they chose it. 🌟

I have so many thoughts on #LucyCalkins UOS, but I’ll leave you w one of the first things I learned about kids… children don’t just thrive on structure, they NEED it. Simply, the UOS do NOT follow Maslow’s Hierarchy. Structure, order, predictability = SAFETY.
