@oldandrewuk What about the school is more trauma informed instead of adding to or causing the trauma in the first place!
It sounds to me you need to think about how a child being excluded feels? What are the reasons for their behaviour? Not that it’s somebody else’s problem to fix…

If we had more emphasis on the science of learning and more emphasis on making schools safe, calm places where everyone was treated with dignity and taught to treat others similarly, then children would be cleverer, happier, and safer.

@OzWomanScotland @tombennett71 That’s the issue then surely? The view that there has to be a punishment or a reward for the behaviour. That child isn’t reflecting the need to be handed a screen or be punished. Just consideration and botheredness, the basic human right to be treated with dignity and respect.

Hi @tesco my friend was signed off work by his GP due to anxiety and on his first shift back he was taken into a formal meeting and given an official warning for absence. Can’t imagine that helped the anxiety much. Surely this can’t be right?
