What does the Engineering Design Process look like in action? Here is an example! Students were ASKED: How can my building (paper towel tube) withstand tornado force winds, students IMAGINED ideas and PLANNED their design. Then they CREATED their plan! Next up is to TEST it out!
After learning about Elgin Baylor, 1st graders used the Engineer Design Process to design their own mini-basketball hoops using pipe cleaners, popsicle sticks, cups & chipboard. Today they got to test them out with ping-pong balls. @MacdSchool#elementarymakerspace#mpslms
3rd graders used the engineering design process to design a snow plow for their Dash robot using legos or chipboard. Then they steered their robot to plow as many snowballs as they could behind their line. We had snow much fun! @MacdSchool@latamacd#elmentarymakers#mpslms
