Primary 5 investigated compass points today. In maths we worked out what direction we would be facing, in ICT we followed directions and in PE we played a game with compass points.
Our eco rep told us all about the recycling discussion the eco committee had this morning. She reminded everyone in the class what should go in each bin and displayed this poster as a reminder. Such a responsible citizen! #laureco@MrsLiddle_LPS
Primary 5 completed a Robert Burns comprehension task today using the iPads. I think some of them were surprised what Haggis is made from! We also incorporated airdropping. Happy Burns day!
Getting into the Christmas spirit whilst exploring a text. We used prior knowledge, visualisation and summarising whilst exploring Mog’s Christmas Calamity. We also revised how to structure our answers to comprehension questions.
Primary 5 created their own quizzes for a partner. They used search engines to help create their quiz, and to answer their partners quiz. You will be able to see the concentration on their faces!
The Eco Committee were busy making posters today. These posters were to encourage people to come to help at our School Grounds Day on 26/11/22. We plan to plant new trees and tidy the playground.
Lots of excitement in Primary 5 today! We were exploring a text called The Clock Tower. We used several of our reading skills; visualisation, prior knowledge, inference and summarising!
We completed a task
to explore diameter and circumference further. Using sweetie laces we found the diameter of biscuits. We used two types of biscuits for comparison. We also discussed the systematic errors in this experiment! #MathsWeekScotland
