In todays PSHE lesson, we looked at pictures of ourselves as babies and tried to guess who it might be! We discussed how we have changed since being a baby and why it might be difficult to recognise ourselves because of how much we have changed in appearance! @MissHDoyle

In @Inspire_Compute today, we used the scratch program! We learnt how to add/ change the background, that blocks of code must be dragged to the programming area and that they can be joined together to make a complete program. We also used blocks of code to give a command.

In gymnastics today, yr1B practiced a barrel roll, straight roll and a pre forward roll position. To challenge themselves further, the children placed beanbags between their knees through out each roll. @MissHDoyle @inspire_pe

For Maths Day, Year 1B worked in pairs to measure their partner’s foot in centimetres with a ruler. We wrote down all of the measurements and discussed who had the longest and shortest feet. @MissHDoyle @Inspire_Maths1 #Maths 📏

The sun was shining for year 1 B’s forest school! We enjoyed pancakes, crafting and making potions. @MissHDoyle @Inspire_Ashton

Year 1B chose to be calm in their independent learning time! Some children created their own calm club where they enjoyed jigsaws together. Others got cosy in the reading area and some boys chose to do mindful colouring. 😊 @MissHadfield1 @Inspire_Ashton

This morning Y1B enjoyed their drama lesson with Simon! Our lesson was based on the story Where The Wild Things Are. We played games where we had to sequence parts of the story by acting out that picture. @MissHDoyle @Inspire_Ashton

1B were super excited to see our special visitor! We couldn’t believe Santa was at Inspire, delivering a very special tree 🌲 #ChristmasCountdown @MissHDoyle @Inspire_Ashton

1B enjoyed a very cold Forest school! We looked at a book about mushrooms and funghi. Log slices were used to create our very own hedgehogs and toadstools. Then we got cosy around the fire to enjoy hot chocolate and toffee apples. @MissHDoyle @Inspire_Ashton

The sun came out just in time for 1B’s forest school this afternoon! We made hedgehogs with clay & sticks, cooked donuts on the fire and talked about all things autumn. @MissHDoyle @Inspire_Ashton
