A take away from @E_Sheninger's Disruptive Thinking "All kids have greatness hidden inside them. It is the job of an educator to help find and unleash that greatness." This is a great reminder to find innovative ways to reach ALL students. They're all capable and amazing!
Teachers, to celebrate the upcoming release of I Survived 20, I am giving away class sets of books and ME. I'll send a class set of books and ZOOM when school starts. RT to enter, I will notify winners Aug. 20.♥️📚
Convocation looked a little different this year, but it was still a great day with @mradamwelcome as our speaker! Lucky to share my love of kids with my daughter and daughter in law! #BearcatsBestStart
So, @BetsyDeVosED on #CNNSOTU said that she won't give advice on what schools should do in case of an outbreak "because I am not a doctor".
YET, she will tell schools EXACTLY what she wants them to do, even though she is not an educator....
Interesting....
So... will substitute teachers be restricted to a single building, or will they be potentially spreading COVID in multiple buildings + classrooms across a single week?
Asking for a friend.
Behind Betsy DeVos, on her bookshelf, is every book she has ever read on education, teaching methodology, how to dismantle racism in schools and the books she has authored about her experience as an educator.
Wow! “Disappointed at school responses to COVID-19”! Reflect on this: The U.S. Secretary of Education has never taught 1 day in a classroom, has NEVER led 1 school or district, but is the chief of ALL school districts in our country. How would she know what she doesn’t know?

Every politician should be required to spend one day in an elementary school, one day in a middle school, and one day in a high school before they can say what teachers can or can’t do.
And shadow during that day the principal, teachers, cafeteria, arts, nurse, librarian, etc.
