First year out of the SATs madness and I don’t miss it at all.
The GCSE and A Level administration at my new school is so stress free. The dream 🥰 thoughts are with my primary colleagues! Y6 is hard!
(2) a student who is selectively mute and only speaks to one or two people at school, spoke freely in my lesson. After just 6 weeks of knowing me I finally got to hear her voice. I was beyond moved and happy about this. An indescribable feeling 🥰

Going to be teaching a couple of pupils who are selective mute (and ASD, high anxiety). Does anyone have any recommendations of people to follow or strategies for selective mutism expertise? Thanks! 🤩

First week in an independent specialist setting and all I can say is wow what a difference to state mainstream. Absolutely love my new role and my new school! 😊
Bio update! 😀
I’m swapping 5-11 year olds for 16-25 year olds, mainstream for specialist provision, academy for independent and teaching for dog handling and TA support (for now). Super excited for January!

Had some lovely responses to my last tweet. So heartwarming to read your well wishes and success stories. I really hope to stay in education of some sort or in some sort of way because it makes such a difference and I know I’m good at it. I just need to find my perfect role 😊
