The books finally arrived, and we have had such a fun time reading them together! It’s so exciting to see our students joy of writing and becoming published authors! @tincroadschool
We are SO EXCITED about becoming real authors! The kids have worked so hard to write and illustrate their own pages that are currently being compiled into a class book! I don’t know who is more excited to see the published books! @tincroadschool
Happy birthday Dr. Seuss! We had a great day celebrating with rotations, listening to stories, buddy reading, directed drawings, games, and writing! @tincroadschool
On Friday, we had a great day learning all about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his accomplishments. We used a lot of teamwork and creativity to complete a virtual scavenger hunt, code, listen to his speech, and think about our own dreams! @tincroadschool#MLKDay
After learning about taxes, Ss split into groups to become “experts” in a special type of tax. Then Ss presented their tax to the class. We learned about income tax, property tax, sales tax, and more! Finally we took a class quiz to prove how much we’d learned! @tincroadschool
In Social Studies, we’ve been collaborating with our friends at home and at school through Google Breakout Rooms to discuss different parts of our community. Then we’re working on a gallery walk by answering community questions on Padlet! @tincroadschool
Our class loved using the new Google Breakout Rooms today to work in partners on Fluency activities! It was great to be able to collaborate with friends in class and at home!

Posting a few days late, but our class was THRILLED to have Mr. Lipson come and read to help us learn about respect and treating others with kindness. It was definitely a highlight of many of the students’ week! @tincroadschool@ImScottLipson
After talking about comparing and contrasting, we partnered up with friends online and in class to create venn diagrams that compared our friends to ourselves. @tincroadschool
Combining the last two days, but during this time of such uncertainty, it's so important to remember to keep choosing joy! It's also nice to get into the kitchen and put my "how-to" directions into action and make some pizza dough. @tincroadschool
To warm up our "how-to" writing skills, we had a little fun!
The students all tried blowing bubbles and then wrote directions for someone else!
@tincroadschool
We had a great kickoff to Read Across America week, by doing stations that celebrated Dr. Seuss! From stories, to games, treats, buddy reading, and drawing, our afternoon was full of reading and fun! @tincroadschool
I am so excited to be a part of our first annual Family Reading Night. If you haven't signed up yet, please consider attending this Thursday! It will be a great night! @tincroadschool
The kids had an absolute blast using our new Breakout Edu Kits to solve puzzles, use teamwork, and problem solve! Plus, we got to implement all we had just learned in Social Studies about land forms and maps! Thanks for helping to give hints @ImScottLipson! @tincroadschool
We had so much fun trying out our new green screen today for our Snow globe writing project! Stay tuned for the finished products! #DigitalLearningDay@tincroadschool
We had so much fun getting together with our buddies to make Shamrocks for our local Senior Center. We also loved trying out a new coding website, Tynker! Lots of great collaboration! @schneider4tinc @tincroadschool
Today’s Valentine’s Day was great—Would You Rather, class activities, Breakout Edu, and a great class party—our day was full of excitement and love! @tincroadschool
