On Wednesday we celebrated the completion of our Global Competence training! This 12-week journey allowed us to step out of our comfort zones and learn how to be more understanding and accepting of others and their values and beliefs. We can’t wait to share our new knowledge!
Putting students through a round of standardized tests during a global pandemic
Is like checking the smoke alarms during a five-alarm fire
The data is pointless & the mere act is a waste of everyone’s time
Thank you to our MSD principals for your leadership & unconditional support for our students & families each day but esp during COVID. Thank you for your countless hours spent online/in-person counseling, guiding & protecting our students. Happy Principal Appreciation Month!
This is some solid advice. Yes, school will probabaly be different this year than it has in the past. That doesn’t mean it won’t be great, it doesn’t mean your students won’t have fun, it doesn’t mean your students won’t learn. It’s gonna be just fine.

However, many COVID uncertainties still remain.
Not easy. No guarantees.
@ChrisYoungEDU I love this so much!! My daughter is 9 and I have been struggling with this same issue. Let them be young and not have social media forced upon them.
It’s not about the teacher pay...it is about the children. Please listen and support your public educators. Thank you @bray_rodric for meeting and listening to us. I hope YOU can help make the changes we need. #RedForEd
So proud to be among the thousands demanding equitable education funding, respect in the classroom, and an end to the punitive testing of our children. #RedForEd
@PearDeck I became an educator because my brother was struggling and I saw a need for a different approach to education. Also Mrs. Cassiday & Mrs. Mannix made school the place I most loved when I was in high school.
