Federal Funding for #ELL Education: News and Updates
As of this week, nearly $7 billion in approved federal funding has not been released for the coming '25-'26 year. This includes funds for Title III, migrant education, out-of-school time, PD, and more.

Billions of dollars in federal funding to support education is being held hostage.
This money was expected by states and schools to provide education for all learners including services for English learners.
The call to action: contact your state representatives and congress. Let them know where you stand on this matter and impact these funds have.

Last week, our 4th graders read Seeds of Change, a biography about Wangari Maathai. This incredible student, who was born in Kenya just like Wangari, chose to write her reader’s response in both English and Swahili! @CFISD_ELAR2_5@MooreCFISD
Our amazing Duryea Model Teachers Mrs. Hague and Ms. Duffy gave an amazing presentation to our first grade teachers at the “Primary Literacy For All” Conference!
