Our class applied their knowledge on energy conservation and mining sustainability to create Eco-Homes (Gr. 5) and Mine Models (Gr.4). It was great to see them so engaged in the creative process. Today, other classes came to visit and see their projects. @shcslangton
Our co-op student, Mr.Mantick, created an engaging social studies lesson about the Canadian flag. He showed students proposed flags from history, flag trends, and then had them create their own! ๐จ๐ฆ๐ Great work! โฆ@trinitytitanโฉ
Yesterday, we did math around the room to review subtraction strategies and algorithms. This allowed the students to activate prior knowledge for our MathUp action task tomorrow. ๐ They loved task cards, I will have to use more often this year. ๐
Yesterday, we discussed rituals at church to prepare for our school Mass this Thursday. Groups then modelled a ritual (kneeling, sign of peace, genuflecting) for their classmates to see.
A few weeks ago I reached out to Band-Aid brand and shared that as a teacher in @PeelSchools I strive to have my students see themselves represented in my classroom. I asked if theyโd be able to donate some of their OURTONE bandages. When I got home today this was at my door.๐ฅบ๐ฅฐ
