This is something I've been raising for the last few years soo it's good to see it being highlighted here. Too often it's become performative, focusing on the doing and not why this, why now. It can be hard to plan it well and types of knowledge will vary in different subjects.
Don't let this get lost in the many announcements. There is a question about KS3 Levels of Progression in here - this might be the only opportunity to share your opinion on them.
