Year 4️⃣ instrumental teacher in @PGCPS. I love teaching my fourth and fifth grade instrumental scholars. Help them out by #clearmylist or #DonorsChoose!
Oh my goodness- #TransformationTuesday! I did sticker chart today since it was the last day before Thanksgiving break. I gave out probably 100+ stickers to students who passed off pieces in class. The left of each picture is from Oct. 2019. Way to go instrumental scholars!
Teachers help me please. I can’t seem to share a different screen on an external monitor from my MacBook Air. I can mirror, but I can’t share another screen. Help? #TeachersHelpingTeachers
Made a diy planner!

Since I don’t see kids quite yet, I only have it right now until September 14.
My husband is playing trombone in the background.
I taught one of these awesome students my first year! She was a second year player. I’ll never forget how she made number one on the waitlist but she emailed me saying how she got in that fall! Great student, absolutely adored teaching her (and she taught me a lot, too!).
Student musicians in the Thomas G. Pullen Creative and Performing Arts School chamber orchestra have been creating music together, despite being apart.
Check it out! #PGCPSProud@PullenCPA
Hi everyone! Sorry I’ve been MIA. I’ll try to post different things about what I’ve been up to during remote learning and tidbits. But goodness knows I miss my kids 💕🥺
As we conclude another week of Distance Learning, I’d like to recognize my heroes! All of the @PGCPS Teachers, particularly the Instrumental Teachers! Here is a fanfare in their honor!

@altitudes365 I live in northern Va but I work in Maryland so I’m at year 3 and a masters and I’m at $56,725. If I was actually in a northern Va school district I would be making almost $3000 more.
I posted this silly little video on my instrumental google classrooms and the kids think I’m “lit” and they think it’s really funny. One of my strings students wishes there was a part for strings. #bandteacher#instrumental#stringsteacher#music#remotelearning
It’s only the 3rd day of March but here’s an incredible PRE-Concert from @pgcps Thomas Pullen Creative & Performing Arts 6-8 grade Orchestra tonight! They are preparing to perform for @MMEA_Maryland (MD Music Educators) Conference next week! Retweet this if you like it! #MISOM
Good Morning @pgcps Instrumental Music Families, here is a link to remind about basic instrument care at home! We want to hear and see you practicing! Send us clips of what you are playing at home! Stay safe!

This year, I have students who love sticker chart. I’m unlocking items for a scholar on GC who is already at Oct/Nov of her instrument’s second year pacing guide. She has been playing for <4 months, asking me her first day of school if she could join.
I love inspiring students.
