A huge thank you to Mr. Jarrett. Mr. Kelly, Mrs. Kubala, and @palenmusic for coming to BI and getting our 6th graders excited for beginning band next year! My students are ecstatic!!
Another great performance from the Buchanan Intermediate Honor Choir! Thank you to Coach Bough for providing us this opportunity! The kids had so much fun!
There's an elf in my classroom who's been begging to help me with some of my work all semester. Today, he gave up his recess to sort music and help me get organized for next semester.
Thank you, B! #wearebranson@BuchananPirates
BI honor choir gave a GREAT performance this evening, and I could not be more proud of them and all their hard work.
Unfortunately, I was too in the moment to snap any pictures to document the evening. If anyone got some, I would love if you could send them my way!
Fun fact about Branson teachers: we get more excited about Thanksgiving dinner day than the kids. I've watched several adults dance into the cafeteria to get their trays. A huge thank you to our cafeteria staff across the district!
Watching our performance from last week and reflecting on the experience. This is always one of my favorite activities- it's just as important as the performance part!
I'm so excited to get to experience both concerts tonight with my 5th graders! Can you believe it's been TWO YEARS since their last musical performance?!
Mrs. Miller (@MrsMiller_Music) goes above and beyond to give our students experience with different types of music, instruments, and musical history. Her passion for student growth and teaching music opens many doors to new opportunities for our students! #teacherproud#GOCSD
6th grade: This is The Voice!
After learning how our voices work and how to align our posture to maximize our singing/speaking quality, we are analyzing auditions from the voice. Learning to describe vocal quality AND giving helpful, kind feedback! Love this unit!
Back at it with our Lip Sync routines! Adding movement, discussing ideas, and experimenting to find what works best. Great ideas are already forming, and it's clear that everyone has put thought into their project outside of class. I cant wait to see final products!
4th grade: to end our xylophone unit, we are composing our own melodies and sharing them with the class. Changing our perspectives from "I'm not a songwriter" to "I CAN write music!"
