Grade 4s worked as a team to label a large map of Canada. They had to give cardinal directions in French to help each other, and completed the map in a record 1 min 5 seconds! Great team work, Wolfpack! @shewrdsb
Today we learned about "Hygge" and how we can experience it this time of year. (Thanks Mr. Barlen for loaning us your book.) We discovered how to write it in different languages and plan to label our "Hygge" hot chocolate art! "Hygge" Holidays, everyone! From room 18 @shewrdsb
Thanks Kitchener for the 100 honks (we counted), waves and even a police siren to show your support for our Walk for Wenjack. Ss felt a sense of purpose as they walked the path of reconciliation and shared their message about Chanie Wenjack through chants and posters. @shewrdsb
Students in Rm 18 @shewrdsb shared their thinking, feeling and wondering as they listened to Shin-Chi's Canoe during the Week of Truth and Reconciliation.
Orange T-shirts inspired by stories such as, "Shin-chi's Canoe", "When we Were Alone" and "My Heart Fills with Happiness". Rm 18 @shewrdsb commits to be part of the solution.
"Terry Fox Rocks" are back! Rm 18 shares Terry's inspiring messages of hope, courage and perseverance by painting a key word from a favourite quote on a rock that will be placed along the course to motivate others as they walk, run or roll at our #TerryFoxRun tomorrow @shewrdsb!
This communal piece has been the focal point of many discussions amongst students in room 18. I love seeing students admire and be inspired their classmate's goals. @shewrdsb

"I am seen, I am appreciated, I am loved." These are some of the sentiments Ss in room 18 shared after reading the positive adjectives their classmates wrote about them. They selected some of the kind words that impacted them most and recorded them on a symbolic eye. @shewrdsb
