@darciejayne03 Bread sauce, skirlie, braised red cabbage, roasters, bacon sprouts, carrots, sage and onion stuffing balls, pigs in blankets, maple parsnips as our sides. All sorted whilst caring for a 4 month old baby, though I did let family help with it.
Husband dug up this weed in the garden tonight. Looking forward to showing it to my Highers tomorrow and getting them to apply their knowledge of the crop protection key area before they head off for study leave!
DAS finished their final week on acids and alkalis learning about dilutions and neutralisation (with some neutralisation rings too). Great results from all the groups!
Great engagement from the Highers today working on frameshift mutations. They were identifying the mutation type and seeing the major effect the mutation had on the protein by building it. Was great to see fab teamwork and great understanding of the topic!
Fantastic work from DAS 1 Science today learning how to measure volumes. They did really well at reading from measuring cylinders and measuring out specific volumes using syringes. Great instruction following with a fantastic result. Stickers all round!
@MissRyanBiology I have individual key areas up to KA 4 which I can share? I also got some forms from Miss Taylor and Ms Henderson so there are short summary ones for each KA in unit 2 that you could merge?
@MrHigginsMods@MicrosoftTeams I make all question "required" so they can't do an accidental submit. You will still get the ones who type "idk" or random letters but it reduces the number of accidental and can make some kids try harder when they know they have to answer the questions
@miz_summers_bio Online learning feels really daunting at first but it's not that bad once you get into it. Get in touch if you need any advice, help or resources. Happy to share anything I can from the last round of online learning :)
